In a couple of different “Mound Visits” during this past year I have mentioned that “I’m happier when I’m thankful.” In the midst of worry, fear, anxiety or disappointment, thankfulness for God’s blessings will help your mind and heart be at peace with the Giver of all good and perfect gifts. In America, it’s easy to take things for granted. Here are a few things I’m thankful for this morning:
-A warm and comfortable home
-A refrigerator and pantry containing food
-Clean water
-A closet full of clothes
-Shoes
-Health
-Freedom and for those who have given health and even their lives so that we may live in freedom
-Supporters of our ministry
-Friends
-Family and the love they give
-Jesus…His unconditional love and His willingness to take my sins and to die for me…even me
“Now, our God, we give you thanks, and praise your glorious name.”
(1 Chronicles 19:13)
Happy Thanksgiving!
