Opportunity.

Occasionally, when I speak to teams, I talk about being mentally and physically ready for an opportunity the coach may give. It may be at the beginning of the schedule, the middle of the schedule or right before tournament. If a player has given up on getting his chance, or if he spent much of his time feeling sorry for himself, when the coach calls his name, he won’t be ready. Attitude is everything.

Just like athletes, Christians must be ready for the opportunity to encourage a co-worker or share his faith with someone who is seeking answers. Let’s stay “prayed up” and ready to share God’s Word.

“Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.” (Ephesians‬ ‭5‬:‭15‬-‭16‬)

“Clarity of purpose makes it easy to identify a good opportunity.” —John C. Maxwell
