Shame and Pride:
There seems to be two ends of the spectrum Satan uses to minimize our influence for God’s Kingdom. He either wants us to dwell on the shame of our past to make us feel unworthy, or he wants to make us prideful and judgmental. Focus on what Jesus has done for us and the gifts HE has given to us.
Our sin and shame have been nailed to the cross:
“…having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross.” (Colossians 2:14)
Any good thing we might accomplish is through the grace and gifts God has given to us:
“For who makes you different from anyone else? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you did not?”
(1 Corinthians 4:7)
“Grace means all of
Your mistakes can now serve a purpose instead of serving shame.” (Unknown)
