Who will you try to please today? Who or what do you put your trust in? What is your anchor when the storms of life come? Is it your career, giftedness, success, family, bank account, 401-K, the government, political party or your friends?
I want to trust in the unchanging, totally trustworthy, completely reliable One who loves me unconditionally. His name is Jesus. He is the rock of my salvation. He took my sin and covered me with His righteousness when He bled and died in the cross for me and for you. Give to Him that which brings fear, uncertainty or shame in your life and receive from Him forgiveness, grace, unconditional love and security.
Your life will still have valleys and disappointments, but you will have a secure hand to hold on to that will never let you go.
