Mound Visits, 4/18/19
There have been times in my life that I’ve tried to control an uncontrollable situation. It was like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. Frustration would finally give in to submission. And, to be honest, when I would finally let go, there would be a sense of peace…especially when I would release the situation into God’s hands.
When Jesus walked this earth, He was (and still is) the Son of God. He was also fully human. He understands how hard it is for us unclasp our fist, knuckles white, and let something important flee from our grasp. Jesus did that with His very life….for you and for me. The understatement of the century…it wasn’t easy to willingly go to the cross. But, thanks be to God, He went to the cross, suffered and died for humanity. Through His submission, He conquered death so that you and I may live!
“Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.”
