Hope, in the spiritual sense, isn’t just a feeling, or a wish, or a nice idea that optimists talk about. No, hope has a strong connection to faith. It’s all God has done, continues to do and will do for us through Christ.

“My hope is built on nothing less
than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.”
(“On Christ the Solid Rock I Stand” Edward Mote 1834)

“We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure…”
(Hebrews 6:19a)

“Hope is called the anchor of the soul, because it gives stability to the Christian life. But hope is not simply a ‘wish; rather, it is that which latches on to the certainty of the promises of the future that God has made.”
