Mound Visits, 5/6/21
Many of the quotes and verses I share with you each morning are challenges and encouraging thoughts I have from my quiet time. This morning it is from the “verse of the day” in the Bible App:
“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.”
(Colossians 4:2)
There are three important things that I see in that short, eight word verse:
1. If I’m devoted to something I’m going to want to do it often and make it an ongoing part of my day.
2. If I am watchful I will see more clearly how God is directing and influencing my day. We should be intentional about being alert to God’s leading.
3. Be thankful…
count your blessings. It’s hard to be down when you’re looking up and thanking God for His love for you and the gift of salvation, your family, your job, the food you eat, the clothes you wear and the roof over your head.
Be prayerful, be watchful and be thankful! You will have a good day.
