Our value as a person isn’t about where we work, how much we earn or how popular we may or may not be. Our value isn’t who we are but “whose” we are. As followers of Christ, we are God’s children. We’ve been adopted in to His family. And, as children, we have access to His throne…we have His ear! We can share our victories, our losses, our broken hearts and we should confess our mistakes. He won’t turn us away. He wants to hear from us!
“In the same way that a small child cannot draw a bad picture so a child of God cannot offer a bad prayer.”
(Richard J. Foster)
“The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in His sufferings in order that we may also share in His glory.”
(Romans 8:16-17)
