“It is not so true that “prayer changes things” as that prayer changes me and I change things. God has so constituted things that prayer on the basis of Redemption alters the way in which a man looks at things. Prayer is not a question of altering things externally, but of working wonders in a man’s disposition.”
(Oswald Chambers)

Do we want change? As we pray, placing God in His rightful place, He will change our hearts. When that happens, the people in our circle of influence will see it and it is likely they will change. Do we want change in the world badly enough to pray and ask God to change our perspective…even to the realization that we should be more like Christ?

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:2
