Mound Visits, 6/19/19

The pitcher’s mound can be the loneliest place in the world. Especially when you walk the bases loaded or lose the lead by giving up a walk-off home run. You feel as if everyone is looking at you, but you still feel all alone. There’s no one to pass the ball to or no one blocking for you. It’s all on you and you feel alone. But, in reality, we are never alone. We who believe have a Friend, a Counselor and an Encourager with us at all times.

“Where can I go from your Spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?
If I go to up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle in the far side of the sea,
even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast.”
(Psalm 139:7-10)
