Value Others
One of the many things I love about baseball is that, ideally, all athletes on a team compete as one. Once the umpire says “play ball” there are no Presbyterians, Baptists or Catholics; there are no Democrats, Republicans or Independents, there are no blacks, browns or whites…there is a team wearing one uniform, competing to win as one.
“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.”
(Philippians 2:3-4)
“When there is no enemy within, the enemies outside cannot hurt you.” (Winston S. Churchill)
