Mound Visits, 7/1/19

This morning I read a devotional by a well-known pastor and his theme was, “quit trying to defend yourself, let God defend you.” Then, on my Bible app, this was my verse of the day: “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” (Exodus 14:14)

I don’t know about you, but I’ve spent way too much time defending, justifying and trying to prove my point of view. My pride has never compelled anyone to follow Christ, but my compassion will. I need to love people and trust God to defend.
