Abide

When I begin to feel empty, shallow, and without purpose I know that I am not “abiding.” Abide is an old fashioned word found in the King James Version of the Bible in John 15:5. When we “abide” or remain in Jesus we bear fruit. When we don’t abide in Him we become hollow, shallow and without purpose….and we don’t bear fruit. So, we all need to abide in Jesus and in His Word.

“I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.”
‭‭(John‬ ‭15‬:‭5‬ ‭King James Version)
