I’ve heard it said that “When you take a step of faith, you step from darkness into light.” This quote reflects a great truth…faith isn’t always easy but it’s always worth it!
We all need to take the “next step.” We all need to grow in our faith. After all, if you are standing still you are actually going backwards. This isn’t meant to heap guilt on myself or on you. It’s simply meant to challenge us to take the next step; to grow. With more faith comes more understanding, more peace and more joy.
I don’t know the step you need to take. Perhaps its to spend time in the Word or more time in prayer. Perhaps its to serve others more or to give more to God’s “Kingdom work.” Perhaps your step is to turn away from negative things and take a step toward Jesus. Ask God in prayer what your next step should be, then take it!
“…faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” (James 2:17)
