Mound Visits, 2/15/18

Today, I will attend the funeral of a good friend. Recently, during my last visit with him, he knew he would be leaving soon. He talked about family, friends, former teammates and…Heaven.

I was reminded once again what is really important in life; our relationship with family members, friends and with God. Sure, it’s very important for us to give our very best effort at work, in the classroom, on the court or on the field. But if we miss on giving our best effort in our relationships, we will be empty at the end of this life.

My encouragement to you today is to forgive those who have wronged you and to love well. Make it your number one priority.

“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law? Jesus replied: Love the Lord your God with all your heart…Love your neighbor as yourself.”
(Matthew 22:36,37,39)
