Mound Visits, 5/16/17
Shame and guilt are emotions that say “we’re not good enough” to follow Christ. Grace is the great gift that, when fully received, compels us to follow Him.
“Shame says that because I’m flawed I am unacceptable. Grace says that though I’m flawed I am cherished.”
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift from God–not by works, so that no one can boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)
“Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”
