Mound Visits, 6/2/17
This is a “good news”-“bad news” message, but I will give you the bad news first:
We are all going to have challenges, trials and troubles during our lives. You may be experiencing some today. Jesus warns of this in John 16:33, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
The good news is this: “His divine power has given us EVERYTHING WE NEED FOR LIFE and goodness through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness. Through this He has given us His very great and precious promises so that you may participate in the divine nature…” (2 Peter 1:3-4…emphasis mine)
God’s promises are scattered throughout His Word. Ask Him for help during your trials. The Father loves to give good gifts to His children. Ask in faith.
