Mound Visits, 1/29/24

In our Bible Study this morning we talked about divine appointments. If we focus on people instead of things, we will lead better and be more aware of people in our lives who are seeking.

”So he (Zacchaeus) ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree to see Him, since Jesus was coming that way. When Jesus reached the spot, He looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today.”“
‭‭(Luke‬ ‭19‬:‭4‬-‭5‬)

Tax collectors were Jewish, but worked for the oppressive Roman Empire; they were basically extortionists. No one wanted to see Zacchaeus…except Jesus.

“God is the Great Engineer, creating circumstances to bring about moments in our lives of divine importance, leading us to divine appointments.”-Oswald Chambers
