Mound Visits, 10/12/23

In baseball there is no halftime; no twenty minutes to give a motivational talk or make major adjustments. Once the umpire says “play ball” it’s ‘game on’ for nine innings. But there is time, in between innings, for small adjustments. A pause for encouraging and challenging those who need it. That’s what we all have today in our busyness. A minute to pause and thank God for his blessings and another pause to pray for wisdom. He’s always with us. My day goes better when I take these small pauses throughout the day to invite God into my situation.

“Rejoice always, pray continually,”
(1 Thessalonians 5:16-17)

“Remember that you can pray any time, anywhere. Washing dishes, digging ditches, working in the office, in the shop, on the athletic field, even in prison – you can pray and know God hears!” – Billy Graham
