In the two encouraging verses below, Paul says that we should pray so that “the peace of God…will guard our hearts and our minds.” There is so much misinformation and hate on social media. It’s like an accident that you don’t want to see but your eyes continue to be drawn to it. We need more peace in our lives. It won’t come from social media or 24/7 cable news. Peace will come through prayer.
“Real contentment must come from within. You and I cannot change or control the world around us, but we can change and control the world within us.”
(Warren Wiersbe)
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
(Philippians 4:6-7)
