“But I say to you who hear, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you.”
(Luke 6:27-28)

Jesus teaches a hard lesson for us here, doesn’t he? But, think about it this way, it’s hard to love God and people if we have bitterness in our hearts. Christ wants us to be free of bitterness, envy and hate. When we pray for those who hate us or mistreat us in some way, we can be free of ugly feelings inside that may rob us of joy.

“Love creates enough space in our hearts for other people.” (unknown)
