In sports, it’s the “big things” that get noticed by the average fan; the walk-off home run, pitching a no-hitter or making a game winning catch. In reality, many times, it’s the small things in a game that helps a team win….getting the bunt down, hitting the cutoff, blocking a ball in the dirt with a man on third. For coaches, these aren’t little things, they are huge things.
In our lives, it’s the little things that bring a smile to God’s face. Being kind to children and the elderly, thanking Him for clean water, food, the clothes we wear and a roof over our head, loving our family, our neighbor and loving Him. We won’t make it on the cover of Sports Illustrated or Time Magazine doing the little things, but we will win huge in life…this one and the next one.
