It’s good to have a “pull yourself up by your bootstraps” mentality, but what if you have no boots? God specializes in doing for us what we cannot do for ourselves.

We’ve heard it said that God helps those who help themselves, but Charles Spurgeon wisely said, “God helps those who cannot help themselves.”

“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.””
