Mound Visits, 11/18/17

As a young boy back in the ‘50’s and ‘60’s in rural Kentucky, I remember that many of our neighbors had storm cellars. When strong thunderstorms or tornados would rip through the mid-south, people would head quickly to these cellars. People felt safe in these storm cellars.
As we go through the storms of life, we are not left without a safe place.
“God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble.”
(Psalm 46:1)
Many times I struggle when life throws a curveball my way, but when I tire of the struggle I turn to God and find in Him help, strength and refuge.
