To be a truly effective leader you should ask individual members of your team or organization this question:

“What can I do to help?”

That’s a far cry from telling them, “this is what you can do to help me.”

“Do to others as you would have them do to you. (Luke 6:31)

“just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
(Matthew 20:28)

(It’s interesting to note that over the course of about 2,000 years, using these leadership principles, Jesus has had several billion loyal followers.)
