Mound Visits, 12/5/23

My parents were children in rural Kentucky during the Great Depression. I’ve heard the stories many times about how excited they were to get an orange, a few nuts and a few pieces of hard candy for Christmas. As a child, I was amazed how they never talked about being disappointed. Instead, their memories were of excitement and gratitude. God was with them. Emmanuel.
