Mound Visits, 1/2/18

Fame is fleeting. Former MLB catcher and broadcaster, Bob Uecker once quipped, “I knew my career was over; in 1965 my baseball card came out with no picture.” Baseball has a way of humbling players. It can be a tough game.
No matter what career path we are on, if we keep ourselves humble, especially before God, when we stumble the bruise won’t be as painful.
“All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, ‘God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.’”
(1 Peter 5:5)
