Mound Visits, 2/20/20

The Astros cheating scandal robs all baseball players, coaches and fans of much of the joy and excitement that comes with the beginning of spring training, as well as the college and high school baseball.

I’m thankful that my sins aren’t discussed on ESPN and the MLB Network for hours, days and weeks.

Instead of pointing fingers at the Astros, may we all learn a lesson from this scandal. The cheating, the lies and the unethical short cuts loom over us and within us to rob us of the joy God wants us to have. There’s freedom in confessing and turning away from that which eventually weighs all of us down.
