Mound Visits, 2/2/17

I haven’t met many people in my life who always have their spiritual act together. A few hours after the disciples witnessed Jesus feed thousands with 5 small barley loaves and 2 small fish, these same men were in a boat, in the dark with a fierce storm raging 3 1/2 miles from the shore. They saw Jesus approaching the boat walking on the water. The disciples were terrified. Jesus didn’t scold them for being afraid. He simply said, “It is I; don’t be afraid.” Then they invited him in the boat (John 6:16-21). We are only human. The storms of life will come. Just remember to invite Jesus into the boat with you. It will make all the difference.
