The Apostle Paul accomplished much after his conversion.
He made three long missionary journeys throughout the Roman Empire, planting churches, preaching the gospel, and giving strength and encouragement to early Christians. Of the 27 books in the New Testament, Paul is credited as the author of 13 of them.

Yet, this is what he said about himself:

“Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life.”
(1 Timothy 1:15-16)

In these two verses we learn this about Jesus:
1. Jesus came into the word to save sinners…even the worst of us
2. He is full of mercy
3. He is patient
4. He gives eternal life to those who believe in Him
