Ty Cobb has a reputation of being one of the greatest baseball players in the history of the game. He also is known as a ruthless, angry competitor who would not only take you out on a slide, but would go out of his way to hurt you with sharpened spikes.

I don’t know for sure if it’s true, but I’ve heard a couple of good baseball men tell me that Ty Cobb repented on his death bead, and upon receiving Christ said, “I wish that I had done this in the first inning.”

Ty Cobb being pardoned from all of his sins on his death bead is called grace. God’s grace is available to those who seek Him, those who turn toward Him with faith and trust.

“In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace”
(Ephesians 1:7)
