““Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”
(Matthew 22:36-39)

Which neighbor should I love? The conservative, the liberal? The old one, the rebellious teenager? The atheist, the Muslim, the Jew, the Catholic, the Protestant, the Charismatic? The coach of the team I compete against? To make a difference, we should love all of our neighbors. That is obedience.

We probably can’t do this in our own. We must as God, each day, to help us.

“Loving your neighbor is so much more than a social issue. It’s a gospel issue.” (Unknown)
