Mound Visits, 4/5/21

During the unpredictable winters in Kentucky, many of our outdoor plants die, freeze, dry up and even disappear from sight. It takes a certain knowledge of nature, and faith, to trust we will ever see them again. But when March and April arrive, along with the life giving warmth of the sun, you see them come through the dirt and mulch giving us the hope and joy of another beautiful spring.

The resurrection of Christ gives us an entirely different perspective on life. These few decades on earth are just a stopping off point for a grand and glorious future with Christ. All because of the life giving warmth, and love, of the Son.

“I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.”
(C.S. Lewis)

“The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.”
(Matthew 28:5-6)
