In Ed Henry’s fabulous new book, “42 Faith,” Jackie Robinson once shared this: “I would have to be pretty stupid, and even ungrateful, if I didn’t admit that some of my mother’s deep religious convictions and, also, Mr. Rickey’s faith, didn’t rub off on me.”

When we go through adversity, as Jackie Robinson did in the 40’s and 50’s, there’s no question that we need faith…and also the faith of others.

When the paralytic’s friends brought the paralytic to the house where Jesus was healing, it was too crowded to carry him in. So the paralytic’s friends climbed on the roof, them lowered him and placed him right in front of Jesus. Luke said, “When Jesus saw THEIR faith, He said, ‘Friend, your sins are forgiven.'”
(Luke 5:20)

Especially during times of adversity, surround your self with people of strong faith. THEIR faith, along with yours, might make all the difference.
