Dietrich Bonhoeffer was a German pastor, theologian and anti-Nazi dissident. He was hung by the Nazi’s just a few weeks prior to the end of World War ll. His intellect and wisdom live on through the written word. He once said, “It is only with gratitude that life becomes rich.” If Bonhoeffer could find richness in life through gratitude while enduring a Nazi prison camp, how can we not.

The Apostle Paul doesn’t instruct us to be thankful “for” everything, but “in” everything.

“give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
(1 Thessalonians 5:18)
