“Finish Strong.” It’s a phrase I often use when sending notes and messages to coaches and athletes during their playing season. This morning, I want all of us to be challenged to “finish strong” in our lives. The Apostle Paul started off his adult life highly educated and then became fiercely motivated to capture and kill those who would follow Christ. After his dramatic conversion, he became zealous in another way; to tell the world about the Gospel of Christ. Talk about an individual who finished strong!Paul wrote at least 13 of the books of the New Testament and traveled from Jerusalem to Greece, Rome and some say all the way to Spain to share this Good News. He was a man on a mission…to finish strong. He said the following at the end of life’s journey: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
(2 Timothy 4:7)
