Mound Visits, 5/29/17

The first house I remember living in had no running water. We drew water from a well and used the bathroom in an outdoor toilet. The house was located a mile off the beaten path on a gravel road, 5 miles from the closest town in very rural Kentucky. It may sound poor, backward and even depressing, but in this little house is where I felt loved and felt secure and was taught that God loves me. So, when I think of that house, I don’t think poverty, I think of love.

“And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him.”
(1 John 4:16)
