Mound Visits, 7/25/18

There are people in third world countries (and even in America) who will suffer from hunger today. They have no choice, no option. We live in a fallen world. Jesus prayed, “Give us today our daily bread (Matthew 6:11) but He also said “the poor will always be with you (Matthew 26:11). We should do our part to help them, but we will never eradicate world hunger.

There is another kind of hunger and thirst that is a result of living in a fallen world. This hunger is rampant D.C., L.A., NYC and in my town and your town. We have all suffered, at times, from a lack of Spiritual nourishment. “Jesus declared, ‘I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty.”
(John 6:35)

“Give us today our daily bread.” Without Jesus, we are in a world of hunger.
