Mound Visits, 8/25/21

As a boy in the small, country church I attended in rural Kentucky we would have times during church services for people to give testimonies and prayer requests. Jethro was a middle aged man who had never attended school, couldn’t work and couldn’t talk. On occasion, he would stand up to give a testimony, but since he couldn’t talk he would just point to heaven for a minute or two with tears streaming down his face, then sit back down. Those were some of the most powerful testimonies ever given in our church. Friends, we don’t need to have all the answers. We just need to exude the love of Christ.

“Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.”
