Mound Visits, 8/8/23

When a person inflicts emotional pain upon us it’s only natural to feel that wound for days, even weeks. But we must be careful. Pain can grow into bitterness quickly. Bitterness then proceeds to rob us of joy and peace. The bitterness, and the person who caused it, begins to consume us. Identify, as quickly as you can, the symptoms of bitterness. Face it early on and forgive. Ask God to help you develop a spirit of forgiveness. Forgiveness pleases God and produces peace, rest and freedom.

“As we pour out our bitterness, God pours in his peace.” (F.B. Meyer)

“See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.”
(Hebrews 12:15)
