Mound Visits, 8/27/19
I live in the country. There are times when I take our sweet dog, Lucy, out at night and it’s then that I am overwhelmed with the size and beauty of a starlit night. The vastness and the quiet give me both a sense of “smallness” and peace. Most of the time, I also think of the Creator. While feeling small, quiet and thankful, I feel closer to Him.
“How much larger your life would be if your self could become smaller in it.” (G.K. Chesterton)
“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.” (Psalm 19:1)
“The Lord is near to all who call upon him, to all who call on him in truth.” (Psalm 145:18)
